High Mass

Every Sunday at 10:30am

The Mass is the oldest form of Christian worship, where we hear teaching from Holy Scripture and receive Holy Communion. It is also called the Lord's Supper, the Sacrament, the Divine Liturgy, or the Eucharist, which means Thanksgiving.

Worship is at the heart of everything we do as Christians, and part of our mission at St. Mary's is to offer our best to God through art and music.

You are invited to experience the beauty of the Mass anytime you wish. After the service, please feel free to stay for coffee, grab a bite to eat, and meet the people of St. Mary's. We will be honored to have you as our guest!

9:00am, Daily in the Chapel

Morning Prayer is a contemplative and joyful service. It is a series of prayers, hymns, and lessons from Holy Scripture. We ask for God's forgiveness and pray for grace in the work we have to do that day. On Wednesdays, it is followed by Low Mass.

Please join us for Morning Prayer whenever you are able, and take a quiet moment to sit with God before starting your day. You'll be glad you did.

Morning Prayer

Noonday Prayer

12.00pm, Daily in the Chapel

Noonday prayer is modeled from the monastic "little hours" of Prime, Terce, Sext, and Nones; it is centered around short psalms and a reading or "sentence" and prayers.

We also offer daily intercessions for all who ask our prayers for those in need.

If you would like someone added to the Prayers of Intercession, please email office@stmarysphoenix.org.

Evening Prayer

5:00pm, Daily in the Chapel

Evening Prayer is the other main part of the Daily Office. Like Morning Prayer, it is also a simple, spoken service with prayers, psalms, and lessons from scripture.

People gather in the Chapel to close the day together, to give thanks to God for good things, and to make peace with what is past. You are welcome to pray, read along, or listen.

Compline

By announcement

Compline is part of the monastic Hours of Prayer. It is a short, sung candlelight prayer service at the very end of the day. You can think of it as "bedtime prayers."

Compline is a beautiful, rich liturgy drawing on thousands of years of scripture and sacred Christian music. It has been sung in churches, cathedrals, and monasteries around the world.  We offer Compline services at St. Mary's for special occasions throughout the year by announcement.
